I don’t need any excuse to use the word Autumnal, it’s one of my favourite words and times of year. This can initiate a feeling of renewal and change within us and I love to get cosy and enjoy the sunny days and fresh crisp morning walks. Within this season we also see change and adjustment to; weather, routine, diet and foods, habits and some activities time but,  what does it mean for your skin?

Skin and health tips for the season change;

1. Skin may feel dryer with cooler and drier air so use products with hydrating ingredients; ceramides, nourishing oils and hyaluronic acids will help to hydrate and reinforce skin barrier.

2. Exfoliating 1-2 times a week include a sheet mask to encourage skin turnover and reveal a more radiant complexion, especially after a sun holiday.

3. UV rays present whatever the weather use SPF minimum 30 daily to protect from the elements and don’t worry it still doesn’t stop the absorption of Vitamin D. It will help improve skin resilience, protect from harmful rays and ultimately protect against skin cancer.

4. Look to include Niacinamide, this is a superpower ingredient and helps to hydrate, brighten, anti-aging, balance oil production and reduce pigmentation.

5. Create a new weekly ritual for a home facial Sunday evening schedule, master some facial yoga, or use a gua sha massage tool to help sculpt and brighten.

6. Take a vitamin D supplement and keep up the water intake.
